Welcome to this series of One Minute Micro-Masterclass BLOGS, where in less than one minute, you can learn how to get Comfortable, Confident and Credible on-Camera.

Please click on the video below to watch this Micro-Masterclass on “Context”.

The main question to ask is does your visual context relate to your content?

So what do we see in the frame beside you?

We can choose what we see in the frame and we can choose it to support our story.

What does your story look like? What visual images underpin that story and can you fill the frame with relevant pictures?

If you look at those three pictures in that frame, you’ve got three very different stories. You’ve got a corporate story, a festival nighttime story and perhaps a holiday story.

Every time you plan a shoot you need to look at what visual context you can use to support your words and your script.

We will look at ‘Factors’ in the next masterclass.
